so, today is 4 years! 4 years with bateman. i’m excited. we’re not doing presents, sadly, because this year we just can’t justify it, not with having bought the house. and honestly, a house is a pretty damned big present, so really, we can’t complain too much. bateman is still sleeping and once he wakes, i think we’ll go out and do something. if that person from craig’s list writes back, that something will be collecting a couple hundred pounds of rocks from a strangers yard. i’m actually hoping that’s what we do. i really like getting things done on the house, and that will make hot tub town a much nicer place.

bateman is having a day of reckoning type situation. one of those being offered a good paying permanent position with free top of the line health insurance and a nice 401k deals vs. persuing his artist/comic book dreams. it’s a scary situation, but i think it’s a test. i think it’s a cosmic test and i’m supporting the follow your dreams route. i’d rather be living tight than living dead. maybe for a person in my position, sickly and dependant, that’s stupid, but, i don’t care.

man, it’s night now. we got our rocks. we have to go back tomorrow because we’re short by maybe 50lbs. still, we got at least 300lbs of rocks and my back is letting me know it. yes, that’s TWO days in a row of real world excercise. friday, i walked about 6 miles on the beach. i plan to do that often. i’m not breaking this weight line by pretending not to snack all day and then sneaking things when i’m not looking. so i gotta do the other way, the way of sweating and pain. it’s kind of a good pain though, the pain of being a functioning working creature on the planet.
on the way to get the rocks, i earned another $35 with my new scheme. how swank.

the rocks look awesome. i’m going to buy some plants for the sides of the path asap. things are coming together, finally.
after we got the rocks, we had crazy crazy shenanigans, in AND out of the hot tub! all over the place! woo hoo for four year anniversaries.
while we were loading rocks in the car in the freezing freezing cold, i told bateman that i think next year, for 5 years, we’re going to go to disney world. silly rabbit, hard labor is for prison.
